How Much Does Rail Container Delivery Cost in Portland–Vancouver?
Most trucking companies won't tell you a price until you call. We post our standard round-trip rates so you can budget before you pick up the phone. Here's what goes into a container delivery price, and what we charge on our most common routes.
What affects the price
- Distance. The biggest factor. A Salem round trip takes a few hours, and Medford takes most of a day.
- Route conditions. Mountain passes, winter weather and heavy traffic around Tacoma and Seattle all add time.
- Time at the terminal and your dock. Long lines at the terminal, or a long wait to unload, can add up.
- Container size and weight. Heavy loads need the right equipment and must stay within legal weight limits.
- Where the empty container goes. If it must go somewhere other than where it was picked up, the trip gets longer.
